Our journey began with a deep-seated love for mini trucks and early Toyota 4x4s, and over the years, it's grown into a full-fledged dedication to delivering quality auto body work and vehicle customization.

Our founder, Joe Toscano an alumnus of the prestigious Baran Institute of Technology, graduated in 2010, specializing in autobody repair and custom auto work. This formal education laid the foundation of technical skills and expertise that would become the backbone of Outlawed Specialties.

After graduation in 2010, he embarked on a career in the automotive industry, gaining invaluable experience at Ayers Garage and Route 57 Auto Salvage. His love for vehicles never waned; he maintained a personal garage where he continued to work on his own projects, perfecting his skills and fueling his passion.

In 2014, our founder decided to dive back into the autobody profession, working at various body shops where he continued to expand his knowledge in vehicle repair and custom auto work. His dedication to learning the correct procedures for vehicle repair and an unyielding passion for vehicle aesthetics have set the foundation of Outlawed Specialties.

In 2017, our founder decided to take the plunge and establish his own shop. Driven by the desire to offer his refined skills to the public, and combined with his compassion for the aesthetic beauty of the final outcome of a vehicle, Outlawed Specialties was born.

The name, Outlawed Specialties, is a nod to his love for the movie "Outlaw Josie Wales" and an homage to the idea that correct work and honesty are often "outlawed" skills in today's world. We are here to challenge that notion.
